This past summer I jumped into something new. I rented some studio space from a group of photographers here in the Houston area. The night before my first session I couldn’t sleep. The reality was I was freaking out! Yes, I wanted to try something new. I am always searching for way to to grow, learn more, push myself to provide a better experience for my clients. All the insecurities kept creeping in. So out of my comfort zone, what if my mojo didn’t kick in? I had so many ideas, visions of how it was all going to turn out; what if I couldn’t get the images out of my head and through my camera!
then…I kept recalling the my most vulnerable moments of childhood sitting in my Dad’s office…retelling the same story I had over and over again….What if I fail? His voice was as crystal clear that night as if I was at 7 years old. “What if you do?” “Are you going to sit on the side where it is safe or get in the game and play?” Oh! Those words, how they have played out time and time again.
Fast forward….sessions went great! Fantastic in fact. Amazing what 30 seconds of courage can get you!
So now I am renting the studio a couple times a month and really providing my clients some much needed relief from this Texas heat! And with lots of prayer, support and courage, I didn’t play it safe!

Every session is full of joy, awe and complete playfulness! You can just see and feel the protectiveness emanate from Horacio over his two sweet ladies. Sofia’s mama, Paola oozes with love, tenderness and class! She is a very successful personal injury attorney and balances the work & life so well. What a role model! Love the parents but to tell you the truth I get very, very excited each time I get to work with Sofia. Her charm! Oh, her charm. She just is so delicate but full of sass, love and giggles! You can not, will not, have a bad moment when she is around!
